PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE COMING TO THIS EVENT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE PHOTO ID TO ACCESS THE VENUE
Please join us for Coinscrum {blockstars} on Tuesday 30th August from 18:30-21:30hrs.
Please not that doors open at 18:30hrs and the presentations will begin at 19:00hrs.
Sponsored by Capco, the event will be held at their offices at 77-79 Great Eastern Street, London EC2A 3HU. As well as kindly lending us their space for the evening, Capco have even more kindly offered to lay on some beers for you to enjoy (responsibly!). On the night, well be welcoming team members from two interesting blockchain projects to tell us more about their plans.
Plutus (www.plutus.it) recently completed a crowd sale to enable them to further develop their platform. CCO Filip Martinka will be presenting their mobile app Plutus Tap & Pay, which can be used to pay with Bitcoin and Ethereum at any contactless payment terminal – without waiting for merchants to accept digital currencies. Plutus connects the blockchain with pre-existing debit infrastructure to enable NFC payments with Bitcoin and Ethereum at millions of existing brick & mortar merchants worldwide right away. Two of Plutus unique features are:- PlutusDEX : its decentralised exchange which provides liquidity for the platform by letting users trade among each other in a peer-to-peer manner rather than relying on a centralised exchange- Plutons : a loyalty reward token on the Ethereum blockchain that acts as an incentive for users that shop using Plutus and which can be used to make payments with zero fees.
Mycelium (www.mycelium.com) have built a reputation over the past few years as a market leading bitcoin wallet provider and they recently raised more than 5000 BTC to fund the development of its new wallet. Dr. Jerome Roussselot, Head of Integration at Mycelium, will present the vision for the new wallet that:
– Is easier to use
– Has increased security
– Offers more financial services
– Is multi platform & multi blockchain
With thanks to our sponsors. Collaboration to power finance. Ingenuity to push it forward.
