Blockstack & Horizen

It’s Coinscrum’s 6th Birthday!
And to celebrate, we’re thrilled to welcome Muneeb Ali, the co-founder of Blockstack, Kevin Hobbs of Vanbex & Robert Viglione of Horizen (formerly Zen Cash) – hosted at Monzo’s shiny new HQ in Finsbury Square.
Blockstack is a new internet for decentralised apps that you access through the Blockstack Browser. It uses the lower layers of the traditional internet and focuses on decentralising the application layer and provides key tools and infrastructure to developers enabling decentralised storage and decentralised authentication & identity. Users run decentralised apps through the Blockstack browser and give explicit read/write permissions to their data. There are no middlemen, no passwords, and no massive data silos to breach.
Founded in 2013, Vanbex is led by blockchain veterans Lisa Cheng and Kevin Hobbs. The firm helps companies build their dreams of launching blockchain based projects. An end to end solution for all company needs from White paper writing and editing, token economics and models, to marketing campaigns. Vanbex has the expertise and experience to make companies successful.Kevin will be here to talk about “Where technology and Infrastructure Meet to Drive the Future.”
Kevin is a technology founder, CEO and recognised leader in the blockchain ecosystem. As an early entrant into cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, Kevin is a veteran of the industry.
Horizen is an incentive-driven application platform with optional zk-SNARK based privacy features that aims to provide everyone with complete control of their digital footprint. Launched in May 2017 (no ICO and no pre-mine), the leading-edge platform enables real-life use cases beyond the ZEN currency, including the ability to privately chat with others, publish information and go anywhere on the web with complete privacy. The team is working towards opening up the Horizen platform to anyone, anywhere in the world so that people can start building privacy-based applications with the option to selectively monetise their creations.
